Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association was established in 1995 to unify the Perry Hall business community and is dedicated to serving the interests and concerns of its members and the Perry Hall community.
About the Business Association
Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association   P.O. Box 301   Perry Hall, MD   21128  |  Contact Us:   info@phwmba.org
Our Association's humble beginnings, as the Perry Hall Business & Professional Association, consisted of several individuals such as a home-based business owner, an elementary school principal, librarian, banker, and the local police and fire departments.  Over the years, we have expanded our membership to include local businesses, political and community leaders, area merchants and business property owners.  We are a non-profit organization and depend entirely on our membership dues to cover our operating other operating expenses. In 2004, we expanded our horizons to include the White Marsh business community.  We are now the Perry Hall/White Marsh Business Association.

We believe that our members are our "Partners in Progress." Becoming a partner in the Perry Hall/White Marsh Business Association will connect you with an active organization that exists to help you to succeed!

Why a partnership?
A membership can be considered just an expense, with little expectation of benefit or participation. A partnership is an investment in a cooperative effort designed to benefit all participants.  We are proud of our accomplishments and are always seeking out new ways to benefit our members.

We are pleased to note that our membership has increased at least 20% for each of the past two years.
Our accomplishments include the following:

Perry Hall Town Fair
Our greatest accomplishment has been the Perry HallWhite Marsh Town Fair.  Started in 1996, the fair now boasts over 130 commercial and non-profit vendors. Proceeds from the fair fund many charitable, community projects including scholarships, donations to local school groups and organizations and funds for the restoration of the landmark Perry Hall Mansion. The fair grows every year and has been noted as one of the 10 top reasons to move into the area in a Sept. 2008 article in the Baltimore Examiner.

The Perry Hall Business Review
Our newsletter began monthly publication in 2003, keeping members up to date on activities and news. It quickly expanded from 8 to 12 pages. Our member directory is updated monthly so that members can do business with other members. The newsletter is being distributed at member retail locations throughout the community to better reach residents.

Monthly Networking Meetings
At least 11 times throughout the year, we plan a member event to encourage business members to network. Our plan is to provide opportunities for members to develop that "personal" relationship that fosters trust and helps businesses to grow through referrals.

By bringing this wide array of talent together (ranging from office suppliers, contractors and other service providers), our Association has further expanded and diversified the types of businesses and services that we can provide to the community.

Other Community Projects the PHWMBA has supported:

Beautification Project - With the financial support of state and county funds, we participated in
planting trees, plants and flowers in the area.

"Welcome to Perry Hall" - We assisted with signs at the elementary school, on Honeygo Blvd.,
    Joppa and Belair Roads.

225th Birthday banners for Belair Road

Holiday Decorations (Banners, Lights, etc.) - We obtained decorations from Frank's Nursery in
order to decorate the sign at Perry Hall Elementary School.  We also
donated money needed to decorate the live trees on the school grounds.

Belair Road Streetscape Project - we have been working for a formal streetscape project for
Joppa Road intersection for several years. Plans and funding are moving
forward in 2008 and the PHWMBA has committed to installing and
maintaining community banner poles to highlight the seasons &
  community events.

We have a very ambitious schedule of programs, promotions and special events planned for the future and welcome ideas and participation from the community.  We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the kind efforts of our growing membership and to offer our many thanks to the loyal volunteers that help promote Perry Hall as a great place to live, work and shop.
